Board & Staff
At Federation Early Learning Services (FELS), our Board of Directors is integral to the success of our organization. By sharing their skills, expertise, and resources, the Board helps make it possible for us to provide the highest quality early childhood services to our children and families while maintaining our reputation as a model nonprofit. Since many members have been serving over twenty years, they have an invaluable historical perspective which provides us with insight on how to plan for the future. We are grateful for their leadership and guidance.
We are exceedingly proud of our staff. In a field plagued with high turnover, our excellent retention record is unique. Many of our teachers, administrative and leadership staff have been with us 10, 15, 20 years or more. This is because they are dedicated to our mission, love our children, feel appreciated by our families and enjoy their work environment. Lead teachers are required to have bachelors degrees in early childhood education, are professional and understand the significant impact they can have on a child’s development during the first five years of life. When staff are happy at school, the children are happy at school. When staff are experts at their jobs, the children are engaged and eager to learn. When staff are warm and welcoming, children and parents feel their center is a “home away from home.” We thank our teaching staff for continuing to develop new skills, expand their knowledge and for their dedication to our children and families.
Cumulatively, our leadership has been at FELS over 130 years. This is one indicator of their commitment to the growth and innovation of our organization and to the importance of high quality early childhood education. Each team member believes that to improve education in the United States, we must start with our youngest learners. We draw on their combined experience and judgment to bring you the best of everything, from the beginning.
