Meet Our Director: Susan Garber
Susan holds a bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Family Studies from West Virginia University and has been working with young children in a variety of educational settings for over 20 years. Her resume includes serving as a Director of a large community preschool; supervisor of an early intervention program and teacher working directly with preschool children. Over her career, she’s developed a passion for working with children and their families as well.
“As the director of this amazing program, I am happiest when I walk through the classrooms and hear the children’s laughter, see their smiling faces and feel their excitement as they experience new things and make new discoveries. It is so rewarding!”
Ohev Shalom Early Learning Center (ELC) is an intimate and welcoming setting located in Bucks County, open year round, serving children from infancy to preschool age. We offer full and part time schedules to meet the needs of all parents.. Staffed by an experienced teaching and administrative team, we use the Creative Curriculum that gives teachers a framework to help children develop the social and academic skills they need to enter school ready to learn and succeed.
Parents are actively involved in the center and families develop strong connections that results in a community atmosphere. Our children’s garden and separate playgrounds for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers develop healthy bodies and minds.
The Ohev Shalom clergy and staff join forces to enhance the cultural identity of our Jewish children. Our curriculum also includes multi-cultural celebrations and the traditions of our children from many diverse the ethnic backgrounds.
