Assistant to the Vice President of Programs


Federation Early Learning Services (FELS), a nonprofit leader in early childhood education located in Northeast Philadelphia is seeking an Assistant to the Vice President of Programs. This position will provide support to the Vice President of Programs with the administration of its 7 child care centers located throughout Philadelphia, Montgomery, and Delaware County.

This position requires a professional demeanor with integrity, honesty, and discretion being essential. This position also requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with recruitment and on-boarding of Center Management Staff
  • Provide assistance to the Center Director in managing the budget
  • Oversee NAEYC accreditation and Stars designation/re-designation at all FELS Centers
  • Monitor the health and safety of the children and staff in conjunction with the Director of Operations
  • Assist with the development and coordination of organization wide in-service training programs for Center staff
  • Provide support for programs and services expansion projects

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Human Services field
  • Two years related program / center management experience
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
