Part-Time Administrative Assistant to CEO – CENTRAL Office

Federation Early Learning Services (FELS), a nonprofit leader in early childhood education located in Northeast Philadelphia, has an immediate opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to support the President & CEO and CFO.

The Administrative Assistant will independently manage numerous tasks and projects with competing priorities and deadlines, while prioritizing communications from internal and external sources. This position requires a professional demeanor with integrity, honesty, and discretion being essential. This position also requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal as it will anticipate the needs of the Senior Management team.

The ideal candidate will:

Support the Senior Management Team

  • Expedite the work of the CEO and coordinate the administrative functions of the Executive Office
  • Maintain CEO calendar and schedule meetings, as needed
  • Process confidential and sensitive work
  • Support the work of the CFO and related Board Operations Committee work
  • Design PowerPoint and other presentations
  • Support Board operations (e.g. schedule board and committee meetings, attend board meetings and record minutes)
  • Support other Senior Management team members as needed

General Office Duties

  • Provide back up support to the Central office administrative team

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 year experience as an Administrative Assistant
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Outlook, Power Point, Excel)
  • Ability to prioritize and complete assignments with minimum supervision
  • Excellent proofreading and mathematical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be flexible, exercise good judgment and take initiative
  • Available to work morning hours and extended hours when needed

Additional Desirable Qualifications

  • Associate/Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience working with a Board of Directors preferred
