Support FELS: Annual Fund

It is this time of year, at the beginning of our school year, that we are reminded of the important role quality early childhood education (ECE) programs, like those at Federation Early Learning Services (FELS), play in the lives of our children and our greater community. Here at FELS, we are more than just a daycare and strive to take traditional child care a step further by providing early childhood education of the highest quality to all of our children.

Here are just a few of the many reasons, we need your annual fund support:

– Children in ECE programs are prepared for kindergarten and beyond. Child care helps children between the ages of 6-weeks to 5-years-old prepare to enter elementary school in a variety of ways – from adapting to being away from their parents/guardians during the day to learning how to interact with new friends in a group setting. A 2017 study concluded that “classroom-based ECE programs for children under five can lead to significant and substantial decreases in special education placement and grade retention and increases in high school graduation rates.”1

– Supporting children with developmental delays early. FELS staffs an inhouse Child Development Specialist (CDS) because we believe this role is crucial for some children.

– Parents can get back to work with peace of mind.  22% of parents in the U.S. indicated that they were either not working or working less due to disruptions to their childcare and/or school.2 By offering our services for children, we also offer families the opportunity to get back into the workforce knowing that their child will be cared for, and that they will be learning.

As a nonprofit leader in early childhood education, FELS strives to offer the highest quality care. We depend on the generous support of individuals and entities so that we may continue to provide excellence in early child care and education to all of the children in our centers. By choosing to support FELS, you are playing an important role in setting the next generation up for success.

Thank you for believing in FELS. Thank you for believing in ECE. We hope that you will continue to join us in our mission to provide all children with the best possible start to their education.
