Invest in our children’s future for generations to come.
We deeply recognize that you are considering including Federation Early Learning Services (FELS) in your estate plans.
You understand how critical it is to invest in our children during their formative years. Planned Gifts ensure that your charitable interests are followed according to your wishes. It also signals the legacy you wish to bestow for future generations.
Planned Giving philanthropy is a way to combine donations with financial and estate planning. The advantage for both donor and recipient is part of a longer-range financial plan for the individual while it ensures a long-term income stream for the beneficiary. Planned Giving offers families especially donor’s flexibility and creativity. Unlike annual gifts that are made from current income, a planned gift is usually made from capital assets that include cash, appreciated securities, life insurance, retirement plans, and real estate.
We offer a variety of planned giving options to help you and your advisors realize your philanthropic goals while balancing your financial concerns. Some of the most popular options are:
Cash gifts may be made by check, credit card, from donor-advised funds, or private foundations.
Including Federation Early Learning Services in your will is easy, and should your circumstances change, it is also revocable. You may choose to designate FELS as a remainder beneficiary, or the recipient of a specific dollar amount, item, or percentage of your estate. The Development Office can provide you and/or your attorney with sample language to include.
Donating publicly traded securities that have appreciated in value over the long term (at least 12 months) can benefit both you and FELS. In most cases, you avoid capital gains taxes and receive an income tax deduction for the market value of the securities on the date of the gift.
For those looking to make larger gifts while realizing income and/or estate tax savings, trusts may be an option for you.
Life Insurance and Individual Retirement Plans
You may designate FELS as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy or IRA.

* Please note that as a matter of policy, FELS must sell all gifts of real estate, utilizing the proceeds in accordance with the donor’s wishes.
