Where Early Care and Education falls short, FELS creates change.
The rising number of children with special needs, gaps in training for educators, and staffing shortages are all common challenges and leave countless children without the resources they need.
Through key partnerships, we have a chance to deliberately design a program that focuses on preparing neurodiverse children to assimilate into traditional learning environments.
Addressing this in ECE will provide more productive learning environments as the children graduate from their respective elementary school programs. FELS works alongside our families to provide the care and supports their chidren need to set them up for success not only within our centers but also in their educational journey beyond our care.
“Being able to put [my] trust in people that had [my] son’s best interest made it possible to just be Mason’s mom for the first time since his diagnosis.”
– Jennifer Reyes, FELS Parent
Helping Our Children Thrive!
FELS’ Lassin Early Learning Center has partnered with Thrive Therapy, an ABA therapy services provider, to reinforce our currently inclusive program. With this partnership, FELS and Thrive have created a co-teaching model. With this model a BSC (Behavior Specialist Consultant) will be co-teaching with our FELS teaching team. Having this full-time support we are better prepared and able to meet the growing needs of our children with special needs.
