Support Scholarships, Support Big Dreams!
Did you know that a family of four – two adults and two children – cannot earn more than $53,000 per year to qualify for Child Care Works subsidy? The cost of quality child care today can be daunting – this is where FELS makes the most significant impact. Like many organizations, we provide subsidized programming based on eligible income guidelines. We differentiate ourselves by awarding donor-funded scholarships to families who are not eligible – even if that is because they earn one dollar more than the income guideline. FELS knows that building a sustainable funding source for scholarships will be a crucial component of continuing to provide the highest quality early care and education to the communities that need it.
Serving families in need
with the programs they need.
FELS offers a variety of programs and scholarship opportunities to help families in need better afford the cost of child care. Here are a few:
- Headstart and Pre-K Counts
- Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC)
- Selma Orleans Scholarship Fund
- & More!
We depend on the generous support of individuals and entities so that we may continue to provide excellence in early child care and education to all of the children in our centers. By choosing to support FELS, you are playing an important role in setting the next generation up for success. Join us in our mission to provide all children with an equitable start to their education — because big dreams are for everybody.
Approximately 59% of the children we serve at Federation Early Learning Services (FELS) — a leader in early child care and education across the Greater Philadelphia area — come from low-income families, however we recognize that the cost of care is challenging for many who may not be considered low-income.
“The support, answering questions, multiple emails, phone calls, meets validates why I continue to walk with you all at FELS…I am very excited for another great year with our FELS family. ”
– Blessy George, FELS Parent
Support Scholarships for Our Staff
Join FELS in offering early care and education scholarships for our staff! We recognize that our standard tuition discount for staff members is not always enough to make the cost of care affordable. And, we want to change that. We are working towards offering tuition assistance opportunities for our staff members looking to enroll their own children in our centers – but we need your help. Donate to help support our new initiative today!
