Located on the grounds of Paley Early Learning Center in the Northeast section of Philadelphia.

If you can envision your child’s summer spent swimming in an Olympic-sized pool, eating nutritious breakfasts, lunches and snacks, and participating in sports on 7.2 acres of land – then Camp Woodlight is the perfect choices! 5- and 9- week sessions are available; state subsidy accepted.

All-Day Camp
Unlike many camps, Camp Woodlight is open from 7:00am – 5:30pm, which is perfect to meet the needs of working parents. 5- and 9-week sessions are available, and both private & subsidized tuition payments are accepted.

Counselors
Our Camp Counselors are an essential part of the summer camp experience. Most Counselors work year-round with children or are currently enrolled in a college program related to education and/or child development. Our counselors receive training in CPR, first aid, fire safety, and water safety prior to the start of each camp season. They also participate in several orientations and training days each year.

Facilities
Paley Early Learning Center sits on a large property in Northeast Philadelphia and boasts a sizeable outdoor play space for our children. This space includes a basketball court, a Gaga court, two play structures, and an outdoor pavilion serving as the centralized meeting area for camp-wide get-togethers. This pavilion also provides shade and protects campers from light rain. When weather conditions require campers to be indoors, our gym and other air-conditioned indoor space is available.

Field Trips and Special Events
Campers visit notable destinations in the area, including (in past years) The Academy of Natural Sciences, the Franklin Institute, the Philadelphia Zoo, Otherworld Philadelphia, and Diggerland USA. Our children also enjoy several on-site events, such as The Mad Science Show, a martial arts demonstration, an acrobatic show, a zoo-on-wheels, and a visit from the Clay Mobile. Trips/events are included in the cost of tuition.

Specialists
Art, sports, and STEM specialists work with campers throughout the summer. Specialists begin planning and developing dynamic and engaging lessons months before the summer begins. Specialists work with campers daily to help them develop their unique skills and talents.

Spirit Days
These days are particularly popular with our campers and staff because they are so much fun. Some possible spirit day themes include Pajama Day, Crazy Hair Day, and Backwards Day.
